Did you hear about the new Annie movie coming out? Well there is a big movie that everybody’s buzzing about. It comes out December 19, 2014. It is directed by Will Gluck and has the hit actor Jamie Foxx playing the role of Will Stacks. Cameron Diaz plays Ms. Hannigan. And of course, Quvenzhané Wallis plays the role of the famous Annie. Quvenzhané sang “It’s a Hard-Knock Life” at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Build A Bear float. The premiere of Annie was huge, and Beyonce and Jay Z were there! And guess what? Heathcote’s 2014 school play is Annie! Many, many kids signed up to try out for roles and get extra roles if they don’t get the big ones like Annie and Ms. Hannigan. The play is going to be amazing. So stop by and see it. We practice after school for two weeks straight and two hours each day! So we get a lot of rehearsal time. Kids of all ages signed up. We are going to have a blast performing and you, yeah you, Heathcote parent or teacher, you will have a great time listening. We will sing some of the songs like “It’s a Hard-Knock Life” and “Tomorrow.” So make sure you stop by and come see it!
