Clash Royale: a video game review

Clash Royale is a head to head video game made by Supercell. It was released in January 4th. Your main goal is to destroy the enemy’s towers and get crowns. The guard towers each gives you 1 crown while the king tower gives you all. Don’t let the opponent get you or else you will immediately lose. Supercell is a video game company based in Helsinki, Finland. It made lots of video games like Boom Beach, Clash of Clans, and Hay Day. 

Plague Inc - a video game review

Plague Inc. was created by Ndemic Creations.  The main goal is to create a deadly plague that destroys the world without the cure getting to 100%.  You first choose your game level, Brutal, Normal, and Casual.Then you select a disease type.  After that name your disease then you start the game. You start your disease in a place then it will start to infect more people. 

Series of Unfortunate Events Summary: a book review

The Series of Unfortunate Events is a 13 book series by Lemony Snicket (David Handler). This miserable series is sad. If you don’t like sad things then I suggest you don’t read the series and read another book. The main characters are Count Olaf, Violet Baudelaire, Klaus Baudelaire, and Sunny Baudelaire.  The main plot is Count Olaf and trying to steal the Baudelaire Fortune. 

The Election 2016

Who are you voting for in the election? The most popular people right now in the primaries are Hillary Rodham Clinton and Donald John Trump. The two parties in the election are the Democrats and the Republicans. The Republicans have conservative ideas. Conservatives are against Planned Parenthood and they also are against illegal immigration. Trump is winning for the Republicans, while Hillary Clinton is winning for the Democrats. Democrats are liberal. They believe in having gun control and they want looser border control. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is a moderately socialist liberal and Texas Senator Ted Cruz is an extreme conservative. The state with the most available delegates is Texas. This gives Ted Cruz a large advantage because there are 222 delegates in Texas. Marco Rubio also has an advantage because he is a Florida senator and Florida has 214 delegates. Another advantage Marco Rubio has is that Jeb Bush quit the election. We wonder who you are voting for! (Because we can’t vote!)

The New York Aquarium

Last Sunday I went to the New York aquarium. I went with my mom, dad, and sister. It was decent one because hurricane Sandy took away most of the attractions. 

First when I went in I saw fish. There were so colorful and beautiful. My mom even wanted the fish. I saw stingrays, Hogfish, and some many more I can’t remember. After we came out we went to get food. Hurricane Sandy destroyed the food court we got hotdogs and ice cream. 

Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor was a major event in World War II. The bad guys were Germany, Japan, and Italy. It happened in Hawaii on December 7, 1941.  The code name for the attack was "tora, tora, tora" which means tiger. 

MVP: A Book Review

I recently read MVP. MVP is a really good book. The book is written by Douglas Evans. It is about a 12 year old kid who is in a race to travel around the world. It all happens in a classroom when a prince named Oh wants Adam to help him complete a challenge to travel around the world. Adam will get 40 million dollars if he completes the challenge, but Adam is unaware that many dangers lie ahead and there is only forty days to go around the world with no flying allowed. Adam travels from country to country and meets many people. Will he win or get eliminated? You should read it and find out. This is a good book that will knock your socks off!

Do you ever play soccer? Well it is an awesome sport. It originated in England around the mid 19th century, but the Chinese claimed to have played a version of it before. Soccer is basically kicking a soccer ball around but you can’t foul people or receive a ball offsides. The first best player in the history is Pele. This is a list of the best players in the world:

Yu Yuan (a King's garden)

In the summer, I went to Shanghai. In Shanghai, we visited a king’s garden called Yu Yuan. It was built hundreds of years ago.  I think you should go there because it is an ancient, wonderful place.

Yu yuan is a garden with many houses. All houses are used for a different purpose. Most are used for living, but some are for looking at the land, some are for resting, and one is for looking at performances. It is massive so I don’t expect you to finish looking at the whole thing in one day. I went on a Chinese taxi. Chinese taxis don’t have seat belts. When we got off we crossed the road and went to buy tickets. Each ticket was bought using Chinese money. The king’s garden was built by a king. The king built it all by himself. It has mostly houses. So when I got in there was a bridge. Many people are on the bridge so you have to push through the crowd to get in. Then there are a bunch of tunnels. When I went through the tunnel I found many houses. The gates blocked the entrances to the houses. I passed many houses. Most had carvings on top. The carvings are very detailed. We walked for two hours and then we had to go back home.

Book Series Review: Pendragon

Did you ever read the book Pendragon? It is a series for young adults. The book is written by D.J Machale and illustrated by Joe Mvea. It is fantasy and full of action. The books  in the series are Merchant of Death, Lost City of Faar, The Never War, Reality Bug, Black Water, Rivers of Zadaa, The Quillan Games, Raven Rise, and Soldiers of Halla. There is a bad guy called Saint Dane and he is doing bad stuff. The good guys are trying to stop him. The good guys are called Pendragon, Spader, Gunny, Loor, Kasha, Aja, Siry, Patrick, Courtney, Mark, Uncle Press, Saint Dane, and Eli. These are the main characters.  They could travel through territories and time and have special powers. Saint Dane is a strong man who is older than the good people. Who will win? Fatty Bird!

Have you heard of the video game Fatty Bird? If you didn’t then here is how you play. First, you will see a gigantic bird. Then you will see the word play. Tap the word play. Then it will start. To make the bird go up you tap it. I think the game is pretty hard. You have to keep yourself from crashing into the poles. I got to level 50 but with some help from the save me button. If you have enough coins and if you went through enough poles then you can do that! I think you should get the game today. I hope you like it.

Carnival Ecstasy

Over the February break, I sailed aboard the Carnival cruise ship Ecstasy. The ship had two pools with seawater in them and two hot tubs, a game room, and two restaurants. One of the restaurants is called Wind Star and the other is called Grilled Cafe. There was also a place to gamble called Crystal Palace. My dad went there once and won two hundred dollars. There was a game room where I played with my cousin.

Dominican Republic

Have you ever been to Dominican Republic? It is a country located in the Caribbean. It is the third biggest country in the Caribbean. The good things about Dominican Republic are that it is very warm, the ocean and pool water is warm, and a lot of parts of the island are pretty because of all the green and blue colors. Also, it’s warm all seasons. That is why the water is really warm. But there are also bad things like mosquitoes. I got 42 mosquitoes bites. Max’s dad got 71 mosquito bites. Also, many people there are poor. I saw a school and everyone had to take turns because there was only one school in town. I think we are very lucky here in Scarsdale. The kids there are nice. They gave Rick and I roses.
