Final Herald Posts

I am sad to announce that May 19, 2015 is the last Herald Heathcote class for the 2014-2015 school year. That means we will not be posting any new articles during the months of June, July, and August. Heathcote Herald is over!

Heathcote Herald members can rejoin next year or new members can join the team. You can see our posts for this year and last year. Grades 2-5 can join Heathcote Herald. People all over the world can see our posts. You will see more in October 2015. Be patient! We will be back. Do you want to see more articles in 2016? Stay tuned!

Final Post

We know you have been reading all the posts from our website and we are sad to say that this is our last post until next year. We are going to miss posting these articles for you to read. You made us proud to know that people are reading our articles.  Thank you so much for giving us a sense of accomplishment! Hopefully, in September, you will continue to read our articles. Sadly, one of our members, Allison, is moving on to middle school. We will miss you Allison! We will miss writing and posting articles for you to read. Rockin’ Jump

Are you looking for something fun? Then you should go to Rockin’ Jump. It’s like the land of trampolines. There are trampolines on the ground and the wall. They even have sports like basketball, where there's a trampolines on the ground and that’s the same with their dodgeball. My favorite part is that they have a foam pit. Rockin’ Jump is located in Mount Kisco 333 North Bedford Road. The place is perfect for birthday parties too!

Book Series Review: Pendragon

Did you ever read the book Pendragon? It is a series for young adults. The book is written by D.J Machale and illustrated by Joe Mvea. It is fantasy and full of action. The books  in the series are Merchant of Death, Lost City of Faar, The Never War, Reality Bug, Black Water, Rivers of Zadaa, The Quillan Games, Raven Rise, and Soldiers of Halla. There is a bad guy called Saint Dane and he is doing bad stuff. The good guys are trying to stop him. The good guys are called Pendragon, Spader, Gunny, Loor, Kasha, Aja, Siry, Patrick, Courtney, Mark, Uncle Press, Saint Dane, and Eli. These are the main characters.  They could travel through territories and time and have special powers. Saint Dane is a strong man who is older than the good people. Who will win? Fatty Bird!

Have you heard of the video game Fatty Bird? If you didn’t then here is how you play. First, you will see a gigantic bird. Then you will see the word play. Tap the word play. Then it will start. To make the bird go up you tap it. I think the game is pretty hard. You have to keep yourself from crashing into the poles. I got to level 50 but with some help from the save me button. If you have enough coins and if you went through enough poles then you can do that! I think you should get the game today. I hope you like it.

Carnival Ecstasy

Over the February break, I sailed aboard the Carnival cruise ship Ecstasy. The ship had two pools with seawater in them and two hot tubs, a game room, and two restaurants. One of the restaurants is called Wind Star and the other is called Grilled Cafe. There was also a place to gamble called Crystal Palace. My dad went there once and won two hundred dollars. There was a game room where I played with my cousin.

Boulder Brook

Boulder Brook is a horseback-riding stable located in Scarsdale, NY. The teachers there are professionally trained so there is nothing to be scared of. This stable is not like other riding stables! They are better at teaching because they don’t give you one horse. Instead, they mix them up so you get use to the feel of other horses, for example, like slow horses or fast ones. A few good horses to learn on when you're a beginner are Penny, Doc and Lily.

When you start you will have a leader and take a private lesson. A leader is someone that hangs on to you. When you get more advanced you will join a group lesson. If you like the year program then you can do the camp and they already know what level group you're in because you already ride there. Heathcote Carnival

The Heathcote Carnival was on Saturday, May 9th, 2015. The theme was rock & roll.There was a lot of food, rides and games. Mr. Goldberg was the DJ. Our favorite part was when we decorated chocolate cupcakes. There was a raffle for all the Teachers Treats in grades K-5. Our friends in fifth grade worked the booths at the carnival. The carnival was sponsored by All Good Things and the first 25 people to arrive at the Carnival got a coupon for a free ice cream. Overall, the carnival exceeded our expectations!

                                         

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is a movie about a girl named Casey who discovers a pin that transports her to a land named “Tomorrowland” where nothing is impossible. The movie is being released on May 22, 2015. The character Casey is played by the actress Britt Robertson.
