Have you ever heard of Albert Einstein? He was a famous scientist known for his work. Albert Einstein’s theory was known for influencing other parts of science. He created the general theory of relativity, one out of the two pillars of modern physics. We know Einstein from his popular culture for his mass equivalence formula, E = mc2.

Home: A Movie Review

Have you seen the movie Home? It’s the best movie of 2015! It is an animated movie produced by Dreamworks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. Some celebrities play main characters. The main characters are Oh (played by Jim Parsons) and Tip (played by Rihanna) and you will learn more about them later. Tip’s mom is played by Jennifer Lopez! They also have a rocking soundtrack! I got contacts!

I got contacts on Friday 4/17/15! I went to eye doctor because I couldn’t see anything. After I got new prescription my eye doctor and my mom talked about contacts. My mom asked a few questions and I ended up getting contacts that day.

They started training me by: Telling me to wash my hands before putting in or taking out contacts. She also told me that if she felt and if I felt I could handle them I took them home. After washing my hands my eye doctor grabbed some contacts (my prescription) and put them in my eye, it felt weird. After, my eye doctor put in my contacts she called another eye doctor to show me how to take them off. After, she showed me how to take them off. I tried taking them them off, seemed easy to me. Then she showed me how to put them on. That took me tons of tries.

High School Carnival

Have you ever been to a carnival? Well I went to a great carnival on Saturday. The High School Carnival. There were lots of games and rides. For example The Tornado, Roundup, Alien Abduction, Pharaoh's Fury and the Zipper. Lets here what Tyler thought about the carnival. He says “ I loved it because of all the fun rides and some of the games.” Lets see what Kyra thought She says “It was very fun because there was lots of fun rides.” When you go to the High School Carnival there is a 100 percent you will see your friends. Costa Rica

Have you ever been to Costa Rica? It is located near the equator so it is really hot there. I went to Costa Rica over spring break this year. The biggest city in this country is called San Jose (san-hosei). San Jose is the country capital of Costa Rica. The roads were really bumpy. There were also so many small houses which was unlucky for the people. Tqhe airport was at San Jose. I also went to this Costa Rican volcano called volcano Arenal. 

New York State Tests 2015

The New York State Tests are a way to measure student's abilities in certain subject areas in the third through eighth grades. Third graders take the English Language Arts and the Math tests in April. They have 70 minutes to complete the test. In fourth grade, they take the ELA, the math, and science tests in April. They have 70 minutes also. The 5th graders take the ELA and the math tests in April. They have 90 minutes to complete the tests.

The Orchid Show at the Botanical Gardens

Are you looking for something beautiful? Then you should go to the New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show. The show is located in the Bronx. This year’s theme was chandelier. When you walk in you will see a big white greenhouse. That is where the Orchid Show is.  As you enter you will notice that the greenhouse is hot. That is because 100 years ago people in the garden mimicked the rainforest and made it hot so the Botanical Gardens are following that tradition!

Tangle Teezer

There is a new brush that was created by a beauty guru! This brush is meant for curly hair. There is a smaller brush meant for loose curls and a bigger brush meant for tight curls. The reason the brush does not pull your hair is because the bristles are aimed a certain way that prevents it from yanking your hair. The inventor of this brush is: Shawn P.
