Should kids have homework?

By Meena V.

Should kids have homework? This is an age old debate between kids and teachers. Kids need some time to relax after school, so kids shouldn’t have homework. On the other hand, kids should review what they learned at school, at home, so kids should have homework. See, there are good things about homework and also bad things. This is really a question of opinion, so I am going to find out how people feel about homework.

I asked five people. Here are my results:

  • Kyra and Emma: “Kids should not have too much homework because they already spend around six hours at school doing work, and kids should be able to relax when they get home.”

  • Ms. Benash: “Kids should have homework, so that they can review what they learned at school”

  • Lana and Lily: “Kids should have a limited amount of homework, so that they can practice their schoolwork, but not too much, or kids can’t relax, or have fun.

This is what some people in the Heathcote Herald think about homework. So, what do you think about homework? Is it good, or bad, leave a comment in the comment section, and share your ideas.
